Kent Ridge Tutors

Kent Ridge Tutors

Full Description

Kent Ridge Tutors is one of the approved tuition centres in Singapore. The centre was established in year 1988 and have since expanded to a chain of private school tutoring centres. Currently, they have more than 10 branches located around the hub of Singapore. Most of them are easily reached by buses or MRT as they are all easily accessible and conveniently located in satellite town centres.

They are one of the few tuition centres in Singapore that had taught more than 30,000 students. They are popular for their innovative programmes for the school tutors use special tutoring method to teach students with independent ability, proactive learners with the interest, motivation, confidence, discipline, learning skills and habits to excel. Several of their centres featured a tuition cafe/snack bar which encourages group study or simply for parents/students to lounge around.

Unlike many other tuition centres in Singapore, Kent Ridge teachers take a different lifestyle approach to teach the next generation of students. Taking your children to the tuition centre is like an outing for the family, where parents can go shopping picking up groceries and run errands while the children attend lessons.

Besides tuition, the centre also has other lessons like:

1) Enrichment programmes – phonics & phonetics, creative writing, speech & drama, etc.

2) K1 / K2 preparation classes- for the young learners who are going into Primary school.

3) Preparation classes for foreign students – placement tests & schools selection.

4) Child Psychology & Counseling sessions for the child that are in-need of any help. And many others.

With so many other tuition centres in Singapore, Kent Ridge Tutors is fast ahead. They always come out with new and innovative ideas, and with exciting opportunities that can take their educational business to the next level, both locally and overseas.

    Hi

My son in P5 is quite weak in his Math. I need to strengthen his foundation especially during the coming June holidays before it’s too late. Can anyone recommend a good tutor in/near Sembawang area? I prefer small group.

On 30 April, I have signed my 9 year old for English tuition by Ms Raja every Tuesday at 3pm, starting 6 May 2014.
To our great dissapointment, the tuition center is closed and we have made an empty trip when we went there today, 6 May at 3pm.

This is totally not acceptable, and I demand an explanation on what is going on with your coordination with the Tuition teacher who we have met on 30 April evening.

Please call me uregntly at 96645789 and I await your explanation.

There used to be a very good English tutor, Ms Winnie. Now Ms Aida took over. A lot of paper qualifications, taught in top schools and writer for assessment books and seems to have open a lot of classes at the centre, higher achiever, creative writing etc. My girl was with her for a while. She told me that she learnt nothing because the tutor was always walking in and out of the classroom, playing with her handphone in class and giving the same worksheet again despite the students told her that they had done it before. I think she is just teaching for the money, no heart in educating her students.

Hi ! I’m being taught by Mr. Chok now. I’m taking the Secondary 1 December math holiday course before school starts next year. Mr. Chok is a good and fun teacher but he goes at a slightly fast pace. He is mostly fast paced when teaching a new subject but is good at explaining things in depth. I’m not sure what levels he teaches but I’m guessing he teacher secondary 1 onwards. He teaches mainly at the Toa Payoh , white sands and marine parade branches.

My children are taking the MathQuest tuition programme at KRTC. The teacher is strong on concept development. He is also a fun person with the children and they respond to his method of teaching. The grades may not immediately jump but I saw my children’s interest for the subject grew and the motivation to learn was sustained. They are now excelling in Math.

In fact, I believe I asked my sons to ask quite a number of questions near the exam periods and the tutors are still very patience to answer all of them even though I know they are very busy with others subjects too. So far so good. I recommend this tuition center to everyone.

Kent Ridge has started a premium centre in Novena. very small class size. you get regular feedback and are able to know how your child progress. Tutors even give free lessons for weaker students. You can try out this premium centre. Almost all the best tutors are there. My son signed 3 subjects, all improved. And seems like the same feedback from other parents too.
